Loads To Organise

Things are moving quickly for MUDFest 2025, we are aiming for a weekend event which means there are other things to think about over and above a day event particularly if it is situated in the outdoors.

Initially it was difficult to find quality marquee hire companies, hearing quite a few horror stories of poor customer service. It’s the most expensive part of the event, as is providing overnight security but I’ve now found a couple of firms who have a lot of experience in their field and are flexible which is giving me lots of confidence and assurances.

This is a selected event so an online application form has been developed and tested, ready to be launched very soon. I’m trying to make the application process as easy as possible as they can be quite time consuming for us potters to fill them all in, but still make it robust enough for selection.

The charity, Ford Park who are hosting our event again in Ulverston have received planning permission to construct a building space which in the future will allow camping facilities on the field by providing drainage and electricity supply. So it’s not something we can offer this year but we certainly will in the future as MUDFest develops.

Promotional material, event flags and contacting galleries and local gift shops are also on my to do list. There is so much to do but it’s all starting to come together.

If you are wanting to receive an application form for our 17-18 May event please sign up to our newsletter as soon as you can as application details will be emailed shortly. Any questions or queries please email us at mudfest@btinternet.com
